I recently bought a new mobo, CPU, and GPU, and this probably sounds stupid, but what's the process of uninstalling windows and reinstalling information technology on the new motherboard? I used the Reset This PC selection in the settings bill of fare, just that merely reinstalled windows automatically and I was having bug when I put my new mobo in. In case you need them, specs are X99A Gaming Pro Carbon mobo, i7 6800k 3.4 ghz, and MSI 1070.

can y'all run windows on old hardware still? if so, practise this before swapping - reactivating win 10 on new hardware

sanest way to do information technology after a new motherboard is a make clean install.

On some other PC, download the Windows 10 media cosmos tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

change boot order in BIOS so USB is first, hdd second
boot from installer

when you lot reach screen asking for licence, click "I don't have a key" and win 10 volition go on to install and in one case its finished, follow my 1st link above to reactivate it

On the screen where yous choose where to install win 10, if it gives you an fault about GPT drives, delete all the partitions on the hdd and press next. If it nevertheless gives error, cancel out of the installer and restart PC and start installer again, it will have next on that screen this fourth dimension (some PC just need a restart here)
